Director of Certification and Accounting

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage, supervise, and review review and compilation assignments;
  • Ensure the quality of assignments while respecting established budgets and deadlines;
  • Coach and support employees with training/mentoring;
  • Manage staff (evaluation, attendance, support);
  • Prepare invoices for clients;
  • Review corporate tax returns;
  • Review individual tax returns;
  • Prepare and review death tax returns;
  • Meet and communicate with clients;
  • Collaborate in the quality control of deliverables;
  • Actively collaborate to customer development and loyalty;

Required Skills and Requirements:

 

  • Hold a professional designation as a CPA or auditor;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm, including at least two in a similar supervisory role;
  • Excellent knowledge and up-to-date knowledge of personal taxation;
  • Pleasant, frank, and open-minded personality;
  • Demonstrate great maturity, excellent judgment, strong team spirit, and the ability to integrate easily into a group;
  • Be recognized for natural leadership and the ability to supervise and collaborate with staff;
  • Excellent time and project management priorities;
  • Enjoy an excellent reputation and credibility;
  • Excellent command of Caseware, Caseview, Taxprep, and Office Suite software.
  • Good knowledge of common accounting software such as Acomba and Sage, with Quickbook an asset;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written);
