About the Opportunity:
A dynamic and growing company in Pointe-Claire is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join their finance team during this exciting period of growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the increased workload, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes, and contributing to the overall success of the team. Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and manage accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable

• Maintain and update financial accounts and records

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

• Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly/annual closings

• Assist with the preparation of tax and government filings (e.g., GST/QST returns)

• Help prepare documentation for audits and respond to requests from auditors

• Contribute to maintaining compliance with financial regulations and internal controls

Profile Sought:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Proficient with Excel

• Experience with various aspects of accounting

• Ability to handle accounting tasks for multiple entities

• Functional communication skills in both English and French

• High attention to detail, especially for reconciliations and reporting

• Able to work independently while also contributing to team goals
